Holistic Health Coaches

We are two wellness professionals helping people get out of pain and achieve their health goals. Our health coaching skills are unique because we can identify the 6 root causes instead of chasing the many symptoms.

The 6 possible root causes that may occur in any combination for each individual:

  1. Nutrition: Deficiencies and excesses contribute to many physical and emotional symptoms.
  2. Toxicity: Everyone has a toxic load with exposure to chemicals, metals, mold, electricity, and lights.
  3. Infections: Candida, bacteria, and parasites, produce toxins and can manipulate your brain.
  4. Misalignment: Bones and muscles, from teeth to toes, can create pain, insomnia, constant stress, and weak organs.
  5. Emotional: Trapped emotions and unproductive stress responses can drain your energy.
  6. Mind: How you make health choices based on what you focus on: symptoms versus causes, parts versus wholes, implementing what you have versus shopping for something new, or just not doing what you are supposed to.

Toxicity and Nutrition

Individuals diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) often exhibit a combination of toxic overload and various nutritional imbalances, which may include deficiencies, excesses, intolerances, or suboptimal intake of food, supplements, and sunlight.

It is observed that once an individual's energy levels decline for any reason, the accumulation of toxic load is inevitable. This is a concern for everyone, particularly given the escalating levels of electrical pollution in our environment.

Nutrition plays a pivotal role in the detoxification process. Consequently, nutritional deficiencies can impair the body's ability to detoxify, exacerbating the situation as the liver and kidneys become increasingly burdened and potentially damaged.

It is important to recognize that toxicity is a significant underlying factor in CFS and is often overlooked due to its implications on modern conveniences such as cell phones and Wi-Fi. The involvement of human activities and financial interests further complicates the acknowledgment of this issue.

The presence of toxins in sectors such as agriculture, food processing, medicine, and dentistry is substantial, yet the field of toxicology within medicine tends to focus on acute cases rather than the chronic accumulation of toxins.

The impact of toxicity is not limited to CFS but is also contributing to a surge in a range of modern diseases. There is a particularly concerning rise in conditions affecting children, often referred to as the 4 A's: autism, allergies, asthma, and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Notably, the incidence of autism in boys is increasing at a rate that warrants immediate attention.

Infections

In the context of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), the role of infection is often overstated. However, it is imperative for certain individuals to initially focus on treating infections present within the gastrointestinal system to enhance their ability to properly digest food.

Moreover, dental infections can significantly influence overall health. These infections are not entirely manageable by the immune system alone and may necessitate surgical interventions, such as the removal of jaw bone infections or the performance of root canal procedures.

It is also important to recognize that some infections are not caused by external agents but are a consequence of internal physiological imbalances. For instance, ordinarily harmless yeast and bacteria can transform into pathogenic entities due to a variety of factors, including nutritional deficiencies, toxin-induced weaknesses, and imbalances in gut flora.

Addressing these infections is not a matter of simply eliminating the pathogens; it requires a comprehensive approach that involves correcting the underlying issues—such as nutritional imbalances, toxicity, and emotional stress—that contribute to a weakened immune system.

Cranial Misalignment

Musculoskeletal Alignment: Proper alignment of muscles is essential for maintaining the posture of the spine, cranium, hips, feet, and other body parts. Misalignment, particularly of the cranium, can lead to discomfort and pain, as observed in conditions such as Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ). Furthermore, it may contribute to the unnoticed and subclinical deep stress on the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS).

Primary Causes of Cranial Misalignment: The two predominant factors leading to cranial misalignment are related to dental occlusion:

  • An underdeveloped palate is often indicated by the presence of crooked teeth.
  • Short molars are commonly associated with overbites and underbites.

Additional Factors: An intriguing cause of narrow palates is the practice of bottle-feeding infants. The act of breastfeeding requires vigorous sucking, during which the infant's tongue exerts upward pressure on the palate. This action is necessary to stimulate the expansion of the palate and the width of the face, thereby accommodating the proper alignment of teeth and cranial bones. This process has a significant impact on overall posture, respiratory function, and sleep quality.

Consequences and Treatments: Issues with dental occlusion can influence pain perception, digestive health, and overall well-being. Holistic orthodontics approaches the treatment of bite problems by addressing the orthopedics of the entire body, focusing on posture and the nervous system.

Systemic Postural Issues: A common systemic postural issue is the characteristic S-curve, which often begins with a forward head posture. This compensatory posture is adopted to maintain an open airway when the palate is narrow, leading to a sunken chest and forward-tilted hips. The origins of these postural deviations can also be traced to environmental factors such as seating and footwear.

In summary, the alignment of cranial structures plays a pivotal role in overall health, influencing various bodily systems and functions. Addressing these issues through comprehensive orthodontic and postural interventions is crucial for enhancing quality of life.

Emotional

In the medical field, attributing health issues to emotional causes can sometimes be perceived as a default position when a clinician is unable to identify physical etiologies. This approach, however, may inadvertently assign blame to patients for their health conditions.

Conversely, the significance of emotional health is frequently undervalued due to its subjective nature, which complicates the process of diagnosis and treatment, especially when physical symptoms persistently demand attention.

There are two primary advantages to addressing emotional health in medical care.

Firstly, it can have a substantial impact on a patient's energy levels. Secondly, it enhances the capacity for rational decision-making regarding one's health. Recognizing patterns of self-sabotage is crucial in this context. Individuals who have experienced emotional trauma may find themselves in a state of disarray, struggling to concentrate on constructive actions that could lead to improved health outcomes.

Emotional distress is often a precursor to a dysregulated nervous system, which can result in chronic stress for many individuals. Subsequently, the accumulation of stressors may become the predominant barrier to recovery. Prioritizing physical stabilization can be an effective strategy to enhance mental clarity and emotional resilience.

The interconnection between emotions and the mind is evident, with the latter encompassing the conscious aspects related to emotional experiences. Addressing this relationship is essential for a holistic approach to patient care.

Mind

The concept of the mind as a causative factor in health does not imply that the issue is merely psychological, a common misconception that unfairly stigmatizes individuals with conditions such as chronic fatigue. Rather, it pertains to the cognitive processes involved in making health-related decisions.

These decisions are influenced by an individual's paradigm, which is essentially a framework of assumptions utilized to interpret the world around them. Each person operates with a set of both conscious and unconscious beliefs regarding the origins of their health issues and their potential solutions, even if they are not fully aware of the specifics.

This paradigm shapes the way individuals focus on and filter information. Should their foundational assumptions prove to be flawed or incomplete, they may find themselves in a cycle of repeated failures. It is only through the reassessment and revision of these basic assumptions that they can break this cycle and move towards successful health outcomes.

Focus For Success

Success with complex health problems requires focusing on the right things: The few root causes that make a difference rather than the many symptoms.

More than one root cause has to be addressed to make a difference. Solutions should be customized to the individual and specified and quantified in as much detail as possible.

Strategic focus is important to leave enough time and attention to details of implementation because one weak link can blow the whole program– not enough or too much of the right thing.
