Why Is Pain Occurring?

Chronic pain is an unwelcome visitor that affects millions of people worldwide, and while it can be caused by a myriad of things, there are two major culprits worth exploring: nutrient deficiencies and misalignment.

These two factors are often the underlying causes of pain in various parts of the body such as the back, neck, hips, joints, and feet, and can lead to discomfort, limited mobility, and reduced quality of life.

But the good news is that recognizing and addressing these common causes can lead to lasting relief and a healthier, pain-free body. So if you're ready to kick chronic pain to the curb, consider taking a closer look at your diet and body alignment for the answers you need.

Nutrients

The healing process for pain and injuries in the body is complex, and a critical part of it is correcting any nutritional deficiencies. Whether it's protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, or even exposure to sunlight, every nutrient plays a crucial role in the body's healing processes.

However, identifying these deficiencies and individualizing them for each person is a challenging task. When it comes to protein, it's important to opt for meats with fat instead of carb-heavy foods. The right meats for each person are also highly beneficial, as they can help optimize the healing process.

Additionally, minerals like sulfur, silica, and magnesium can also play a central role in healing, both in internal and topical forms. Ultimately, getting the diet right is the best way to address these nutritional deficiencies and facilitate healing in any part of the body.

Alignment

Whole body alignment may seem like a small detail, but it actually holds the key to preventing stress points and pinched vertebrae. It starts with the hips and feet, which determine the alignment of the back. However, our posture can also be affected by forward head posture, which can force an exaggerated S curve.

To prevent this, it's important to learn how to move correctly through walking and bending, as well as sitting in more careful ways that train the muscles to move the bones into the right places.

Unfortunately, many physical therapists only work around the site of the injury, which can sometimes overwork already exhausted muscles. The solution lies in finding better ways to sit and walk that align the shoulders as well as create a more efficient alignment.

Also, starting from the cranial base is very important. If you have any cranial distortions in your cranial bones, that may be the root cause of your chronic pain in your neck, shoulder, hips, ankles, etc. All body parts are connected and if you don't fix the issue starting from the top (cranial complex), nothing will change and you will stay in pain forever.

As you can see in this picture, his maxilla (upper jaw) is not positioned well in space (asymmetries) and his mandible is tilted to the left, which can cause other pains at the bottoms (neck, shoulders, chest, hips, etc.)

Circulation

Our bodies are amazing machines that have the power to heal themselves. Lymph circulation is essential for this healing process, as it removes waste and allows nutrients to flow freely through our systems. Luckily, there are ways to easily promote lymphatic flow on your own.

With the abundance of videos available online, do-it-yourself lymph massages have become increasingly popular. Not only is it simple to do, but it only takes a few minutes a day to do a general massage of the whole body. So why not give it a try and give your body the boost it needs for optimal healing?
